Now ICSE School Students will be Getting a Chance to Read Autobiographies and Magical Books

The ICSE student do not need to hide their comic books under the desk for because now all the magical story is coming into their syllabus. The Council of School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has advised some of the most popular books like Harry Potter for junior and middle-school students while laying down a uniform syllabus for all schools to issue from the 2017-18 session.
Besides Potter and Tintin, the curriculum will cover popular graphic novels such as Amar Chitra Katha, Asterix and the Maus for Classes from 3 to 8.
Kids will study about Feluda, Holmes and Poirot and also about the Hobbit. The students will get a chance to study autobiographies of  well known people like  APJ Abdul Kalam. There is interesting something for Classes 1st and 2nd children to read like Noddy with lots of illustrations.
CISCE chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon said that, “ if some schools fail to bring the suggested texts in the appearing academic session, they would be permitted a year’s extension”.
As per the suggested curriculum, nursery students must consume 800 instructional hours per year in school. Likewise, students from Classes 1 to 5 must accept 900 hours of instruction every year in school and those in classes 6 to 8, 1000 hours of instruction respectively.
