Google has tied up with HTC and Redington for the sales and aftersales support of its new Pixel smartphones. HTC will offer after sales for the devices in 30 cities in the country. Moreover, Redington will be the national supplier for Pixel phones in India. “We have partnered with HTC India for after sales service in 56 walk-in service centres in over 30 cities,” a Google spokesperson told. “Redington India is our national distributor for all channels in India.” The spokesperson added that a toll free customer care number would handle customer queries.
Through the partnership, Google’s smartphones will be available at over 1,000 retail stores. Also the devices will be imported to India and vended through main retail outlets like Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, Croma, and more.
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones were disclosed earlier this month. The phones will be solely available online via Flipkart. The base variant of the Pixel with 32GB of storage is priced at INR 57,000.
